Board of Realty Regulation (Montana)
The Montana board that licenses and disciplines real estate licensees. It sits within the Department of Labor and Industry, which provides staff through its Business Standards Division. A sanction unique to real estate is the trust account citation under MCA 37-51-324: a department employee who finds a trust account out of compliance may issue an on-the-spot citation of $50 per violation, which the broker must pay or dispute in writing within 5 business days.
