Provisional Sales Associate (Oklahoma)

In Oklahoma a first-time sales license is a provisional sales associate license. Applicants must be at least 18, complete 90 clock hours of prelicense education, pass a criminal history check and the state exam, and pay fees. The provisional license runs 12 months counting the month of issue and is not renewable as provisional. The licensee must finish the 45-hour postlicense course before the first expiration; otherwise the person must reapply as an original applicant.

Exam tip
'90 to get in, 45 to stay in, 12 months to do it.' The 45-hour course is not CE that can be done any time; it must be completed before the first expiration.
Example
A license issued April 6, 2026 expires March 31, 2027, so the 45-hour postlicense course and renewal must be filed by that date.
