Wyoming Real Estate Commission

The Wyoming Real Estate Commission administers the Real Estate License Act (W.S. 33-28-101 through 33-28-401), covering licensing, the recovery and education funds, brokerage relationships, and errors and omissions insurance. It has five members appointed by the governor and confirmed by the senate; at least three and no more than four must have been Wyoming licensees for five years. No more than one commissioner may come from the same county, and terms are three years. A director in Cheyenne keeps records, issues licenses, and investigates complaints.

Exam tip
'5-3-5-1': 5 members, 3-year terms, 5 years licensed, 1 per county. Distractors use seven members or four-year terms from other states.
Example
With a Natrona County licensee already seated, the governor cannot appoint two more brokers from Casper to open seats.
