Colorado Real Estate Commission

Colorado's policy-making real estate board within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Under C.R.S. 12-10-206 it has five members appointed by the Governor to three-year terms: three brokers with at least five years of Colorado experience and two public members. It adopts the broker rules (4 CCR 725-1), approves standard contract forms, and disciplines licensees, with fines of up to $2,500 per separate offense. The separate Division of Real Estate is the staff agency that processes applications and runs investigations.
