Missouri Real Estate Commission (MREC)

The Missouri licensing body created under RSMo 339.120. It has seven members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Senate for five-year terms. All members except the one public member must have at least ten years of experience as real estate brokers. The Commission investigates complaints and decides discipline, while the independent Administrative Hearing Commission holds the hearing and decides whether cause for discipline exists.

Exam tip
'Seven for five, ten to drive': seven members, five-year terms, licensee members need ten years as brokers.
Example
